Who are Inkdustrial and What do they do? Inkdustrial is the brain child of John Bryson and David Edwards and was set up to bring their combined industry knowledge of industrial inkjet printing to the market. Having spent years working for and selling and servicing some of the major international brands, John and Dave set up to bring this knowledge to the market. With years of experience in screen, pad, flexo and digital printing they were key in the growth and adaptation of UV inkjet systems for industrial printing. Filling the gap in the market with some of their own specialised inkjet printing solutions, building of bespoke inkjet systems and the automation of traditional digital machinery are just some of the things they do. Not only do they have some speciality custom built solutions but they work with the market to provide impartial advice on traditional flatbed UV printers from desktop systems through to full industrial solutions. They provide advice and testing on inks and adhesion, outdoor durability tests and even accelerated weather testing. Assisting in the testing and product sourcing through to the purchase of the equipment and then the roll out and implementation of the system into your business. All the way through to colour management and software support. Full turn key solutions. Not every solution is available out of the box and sometimes it requires a special ink or pre-treatment or primer. Inkdustrial help you find the ideal mix. Along with their knowledge of industrial printing they have brought together a range of label printing solutions for the industrial label printing market from entry level toner based systems from Oki to industrial label presses from Monotech Systems/Jetsci. Talk with the team today about your needs, no concept too weird they love the challenge.

John is second generation in the printing industry and started his experience in his school holidays washing screens at a Sydney screen print house before spending time in ink factories supporting the local manufacture of printing inks. After spending time at University and working in Engineering for several years he returned to the printing game and back into screen ink technical sales. From there he has spent years in different areas of the industry. From inks John worked with supporting the Thieme screen printing division in Australia while at Uniscreen. Then spent time as a director of Advanced Inkjet Technology in the Research and development of single pass label printers during the time of the GFC. From here he then worked in the supply of hardware and consumable for the wide format market and then to working as a channel manager and applications specialist for one of the larger Japanese wide format printer manufacturers.

So What Exactly is Industrial Printing?
Timson's article defines it as "print that does not have the primary purpose of carrying a promotional message. It is print that is part of a manufacturing process. That either enables the function of a product or that enhances its appearance or decoration." https://www.printindustry.com/Newsletters/Newsletter-141.aspx
